St. Patty's Day

Alright so I am by no means a prude but it's kinda stupid to say that you're celebrating a saint by getting smashed/hammered. Why even bother w/ waiting in line outside the bar in the morning for beer colored w/ food dye, overpriced drinks, & douchebags drunkenly telling you about how Irish they are? If you really wanted to drink all day w/ your friends, what's wrong w/ doing it any other day?

Other than that, for me today was the best day of the year so far - over 60F and sunny. It might sound weird & I know there are more days like this to come, but I felt like it was too nice to spend the day drunk because I wanted to remember it. So instead of going out after lunch w/ some friends after class at Nemo's I went back to my apt. Where I cleaned our kitchen, did the dishes, swept the apartment, cleaned the bathroom, & did four loads of laundry (that I've been putting off for about two months..fail.)

Thennnn I went out w/ Major around the city on my new rollerblades! The first time I've rollerbladed since I was nine so that was a lot of fun. Though I had a few close calls, I never fell! which is a good thing considering I had no wrist/elbow/knee guards since they were backordered, laaaame.

Overall, good day, now to start studying.

Dear Daylight Savings Time,

I can already tell you & I aren't going to be friends for a while.

Sitting in the UGL during undergrad's start of spring break w/ my laptop out, eating chicken pad thai leftovers w/ chopsticks, & sitting by myself w/ my backpack that's bigger than my torso next to me.

I am the epitome of awesome. & white. & social life.

Post Hibernation

AKA warmer weather AKA biking to school w/o turning to an icicle.

Apparently, this is a rare sighting in March because every guy I passed on the street from school to my apt (about a mile) said something to me. The most entertaining:

'Hey girl can I talk to you for a minute?'

'No I have to go, sorry!'

'Wait!' (as he starts running after me)

(WTF! pedaling faster)

'Aww damn!'

Spring Break in Review

This break was amazing & so good for me. I caught up on sleep & did pretty much everything I wanted to while staying in MI:

- caught up on sleep (13hrs in one night, oh yeah)

- pharmacy convention = lots of hang out time w/ pharm kids & amazing free food & drinks

- lots of hang out time w/ the boyfriend & friends

- got some results for research

- read five books (& they weren't for school!)

- played the piano & guitar

- went to the driving range & skiing w/ my dad

Good stories from this break, like the 50yr old Marriott guy, being the only person at the convention not carded when being served alcohol even though I'm the only one under 21, slope outfits, & making a tard of myself, as usual
