Wow, back in Detroit. It kinda feels surreal to be back but it also feels like I haven't left. Convention could definitely be described as an experience- both the great & the bad. There wasn't as much time spent in San Diego as I expected since the convention resort was held away from downtown or the beaches so it was hard to escape. Nevertheless, we were still able to visit places, namely Mission Beach, Jimmy Love's in the gas lamp district, a couple other bars, Pacific Beach, Balboa Park in general, & the zoo.
The best night out was when after the bar kicked everyone out at 1:30am (what??) we picked up a six pack & hung out on Pacific Beach by Crystal Pier. I wish I could have taken a picture but it was gorgeous- big & bright moon, watching the waves break, being able to walk out farther than normal because it was during low tide, & seeing the city lights twinkle in the distance. Great place to reflect & I had some great company.
Best experience was getting to know better/meeting the UBC chapter (+ Alex). They were such friendly, kind, open, & fun people. They're definitely friends that I hope to keep in touch w/ & hopefully I'll be able to visit them soon!
Overall, I'm very much satisfied w/ the touristy things I did in San Diego, especially getting to eat delicious Mexican food (i.e. Mr. Roberto's & Sombrero's) but I think another important moment was when we stopped by In-N-Out. The place kicks McDonald's in the face, not that I guess that's really difficult. They're efficeint but it's true that they use fresh ingredients- after all, they slice the potatoes into fries right in front of you. Awesome. & pretty tasty. Not the best burger I've had but I enjoy the philosophy very much. Not to mention that it's a cheap price for a burger even in Michigan living standards (similar to a Five Guys cheeseburger for less than $4)
As you could probably guess, due to my complete lack of dietary concern I need to work out hahah. I'm already missing the weather back in SD which can be summarized into warm & sunny days, cool nights, & perfect.

Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 - Chopin
One of my absolute favorite songs of all time. So classy...pun (un)intended? Can't decide on that.
I can half cross off learning how to drive a stick shift off my bucket list! Thanks to one of my soccer friends I've finally learned the basics like shifting gears & how to prevent the car from stalling. Exciting stuff. The next step is to find some one w/ a manual who's comfortable letting me take their car on the street which is going to be more challenging.
Intern vacation has started early: so I don't go over total hours for the program I don't have to work tomorrow...guess who was excited when she found out she got a week off. This guy.
Too much? Maybe the real question should first be if you get it?
Ready to explore & get acquainted w/ San Diego! Delicious Mexican food, beaches, & world famous parks/zoo here I come. But first, an excellent last day in Detroit filled w/ packing, relaxing, piano, sun, apartment hunting, friends, soccer, & of course, beer after soccer. Seize the day.

Some Nights - Fun
This song reminds me a lot of the band Mika. Definitely enjoyable & an interesting music vid.
Went to my first random concert where I didn't know any of the artists this past Sunday & I'm pretty happy w/ how it turned out. Thanks to my friend Lance for introducing me to George Watsky.
Win #3 for Midtown over Cass Corridor (: Looking forward to remembering my cleats for next game haha.
Gearing up for LKS convention/events & I'm getting more excited as the days wind down. But until then, time to take a run along the Riverwalk before it closes.
EDIT: Riverwalk run was great, I think I've found a new running buddy!
So creeping fb I saw one of my friends had an album about a semi-formal event for her sorority abbreviated 'ASA'
...I immediately thought that it was short for aspirin & was confused. My life has been ruined by pharmacy school.

Iron and Wine - Dia Frampton
Thoughts from my semi sober/tired mind:
-I have realized from all the pictures taken of me playing soccer that I look stupid when I'm concentrating
-Hanging out on the roof w/ my dad working on the windows Monday night was a really nice change of pace, I forgot how much I've missed being up there.
-Midtown win #2, hopefully we can keep it up!
-80s booty popping music is the way to go
-Seva has impressed me
-Ann Arbor is still one of my favorite places to visit
-I'm so screwed for work tomorrow...gotta be up in five & a half hours. Def went a little too hard tonight, oh well.
-Not sure how showering is going to go while sharing a room...hmmm.

It's Time - Imagine Dragons
I'm out of my cockroach infested apartment
Plus my new apartment has A/C + an awesome roommate!
Got my replacement driver's license finally
My OneCard (that was stolen but they decided to return) is getting mailed to me
Went to the Woodbridge street fair & salsa dancing this past weekend
Found a new favorite spot for cheesecake/food
July is already a much better month. Suck it, June.
Vulgarity ftw
